• Vinyl (Maintenance-Free) — the "set it and forget it" choice. No staining, no sealing, no fading — just a clean, timeless look that stays that way for decades. If "Less Upkeep, More Living" is your whole reason for building, this is the one.
• White Oak — the top of the line in natural wood. It's the strongest and most moisture-resistant species we build with, a dense hardwood that stands up to weather and time better than anything else on this list. The choice when you want a real-wood pavilion built to last generations.
• Western Red Cedar — the classic beauty. Naturally resistant to rot and insects, with a rich grain and warm character that's hard to beat on looks. It runs at a premium price and, while gorgeous, it's a softer wood — not as strong or moisture-resistant as white oak. You choose cedar for its natural charm, not raw strength.
• Red Oak — a strong, classic hardwood with a warm tone, at a friendlier price than white oak. A great middle-ground for the real-wood look without the top-tier cost.
• Pine — the most budget-friendly way into a real timber pavilion. A warm, classic look that gets you the structure you want at the most accessible price.

Every wood pavilion and structure we build is finished with the Sashco Capture and Cascade system, applied to manufacturer specifications:

2 coats of Sashco Capture Log Stain — a premium, water-based, flexible stain that moves with the wood as it naturally shifts and settles, so it won't crack or peel like ordinary stains. It shows off the natural grain while guarding against moisture and UV fading.

1 coat of Sashco Cascade Clear — a weather-resistant topcoat that seals everything in, repelling moisture and resisting mold, mildew, and algae.

The maintenance program is refreshingly simple. Because of how this system is built, you never have to strip and completely re-stain your structure. To keep it looking its best and fully protected, you simply reapply a coat of Cascade Clear every 2–4 years — where needed, when needed. That's it. A little upkeep on a schedule you can plan for, instead of a big restoration project down the road.
